NIKE BASKETBALL AND JORDAN BRAND HEADLINE TEAM USA’S OLYMPIC ROSTER

Team USA Basketball announces their official roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Nike and Jordan Brand will be prominently featured, with 8 out of the 12 athletes being signed to the Swoosh and Jumpman. For those wondering, Joel Embiid officially signed with Skechers in April, following the expiration of his Under Armour deal.

WE HAVE OUR EYES AND EARS ON THE FOLLOWING:

  • WNBA Training Camp Begins April 28: The official era of Caitlin Clark begins. She’s already sold out of her jersey and boosted Indiana Fever’s ticket sales…what’s next for #22?!

  • NBA Media Rights Expired: Earlier this week marked the end of the NBA’s exclusive negotiating window with the parent companies of incumbent broadcasters ESPN and TNT. Other bidders can now present offers for new deals that will start at the beginning of the 2025–26 season. Which networks or streaming companies will bid for the media rights?

  • 2024 NFL Schedule Release: Following their previous season schedule announcements, the NFL should be dropping their official team schedules in the first week or two of May. How many international games do you think will be on the schedule this season?

CELEBRATING WINS ACROSS THE SPORTS INDUSTRY:

Congrats to Melissa Darusz (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Izaiah Anderson (Phoenix Rising), Luis Lopez (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Asia Dorsey (Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment) on their new roles in the sports industry!
